A space to feel heard, find answers and build confidence
Join Emily for a welcoming morning of learning, individual guidance and connection with other mums navigating life with a newborn.
You don’t need a particular difficulty to attend. Each session has a focus, but your own questions can be about any aspect of feeding, comfort or early development.

One booking = you and your newborn baby. Please choose one workshop during November so more mums and babies can benefit.
Thursday · 9am–1pm
Latch, Positioning & Feeding: Breast or Bottle
Explore positioning and attachment for more comfortable, effective feeding, whether you breastfeed, bottle feed or combine both. We’ll look at what is working well, common challenges and your own feeding questions.
Explore early movement, why babies may prefer turning to one side, and how everyday positioning and play can support development. Take away tummy-time ideas and ways to adapt activities to suit your baby.
Explore common reasons for crying and discomfort, including feeding-related difficulties, reflux and wind. Discuss practical ways to support comfort, recognise feeding cues and understand what your baby may be communicating.
Explore feeding patterns, signs of effective feeding, nappies and growth, whether your baby is breastfed, bottle fed or combination fed. There’s time for your own feeding experiences and questions too.
Make yourself at home, with tea, biscuits and baby-changing facilities on hand, and the freedom to feed, change or settle your baby whenever they need.

Chat, questions & round-up
Informal conversation, final questions, shared experiences and feedback.
I support mums and babies through the early stages of feeding and development. Alongside my clinical work, I spent 10 years teaching at Health Sciences University (formerly AECC).
I created these workshops to bring practical, evidence-informed information and individual guidance together in a relaxed, small-group setting, with time to learn alongside other mums.
My hope is to build a supportive community where mums can share experiences and feel more confident as they navigate those early weeks and months together.
Before you book
Who can attend?
Each place is for one mum and her newborn baby aged 0–16 weeks. If your baby is older, please contact Emily before booking to discuss whether the workshop is suitable.
How do I reserve a place?
Choose a date above and book in advance through Bump to Babes. Please book just one workshop during November. These are bookable sessions, rather than drop-ins.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible so we can offer your place to another mum and baby. If illness, an emergency or an unexpected change means you can’t attend, call or text Emily as soon as possible, even on the morning.
What if my chosen date is full?
To join the waiting list, please email Emily with your preferred date or workshop topic, along with a contact telephone number. If a place becomes available, we’ll get in touch.
Questions before booking?
Get in touch if you have a question, or would like to discuss whether a workshop is right for you and your baby.
